Judy, grew up in the San Joaquin Valley (Dos Palos) on a small dairy. She and her siblings learned to help their parents milk the cows and do all the other chores that are part of daily life on a farm. Some of her favorite times were visits to her aunt, who lived in a small mountain town. Judy fell in love with her aunt's town and hoped she would someday live in just such a charming, historical locale. Before she and her husband John sold their ag-related business in Firebaugh, they purchased some acreage just above Mariposa...in Midpines. It was close enough to visit on weekends, and after a time drilled a well, parked a travel trailer, and spent weekends and other free time enjoying their property and getting to know Mariposa.
